Mexico: Review of recent incendiary attacks

In the past months there have been some arsons with characteristics like the attacks of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire – Mexico, without having been claimed up to now like the one that took place in the Palacio de Hierro in Naucalpan. Here are the notices:

April 20, Mexico State
The incident happened in a bottle factory named Arosa, which is located on the industrial bouvelard and President Juárez Ave in Tlalnepantla, Mexico State.
The fire spread to two other properties, a carton factory in which there were flammable products and a warehouse that was unoccupied. In total about 4 thousand square meters were consumed, the fire was enormous.
Firefighters from Atizapán, Naucalpan, Tlalnepantla and Cuautitlán Izcalli arrived at the place.

April 16, Los Cabos San Lucas, Baja California
There was a strong fire in the town of San Jose del Cabo in the area known as El Palmar de Santa Rosa, which caused the mobilization of all the security corporations, since at the time it was reported to be out of control.
Personnel from Municipal Civil Protection, agents of the Municipal and Judicial Police, as well as elements of the Mexico Armada, had to evacuate clients and workers of the recently inaugurated Chedraui department store.
According to preliminary investigations, the incident began just before 2:30 PM today; without being under control at this time. Elements of the H. Firefighters Corp of San Jose del Cabo and of Cabo San Lucas, as well as hoses from the Municipal Operational Organism of the Potable Water and Wastewater System have united in the combat of this great fire.
At this time there are no human loses to be regretted, only reports of two intoxicated firefighters.
It is worth mentioning that Los Cabos will be the headquarters of the G20 this June.

April 3. Mexico State
A warehouse of about 600 square meters that housed cartons was burned in the industrial area of Azcapotzalco, at the boundaries with Naucalpan.
The owners of the warehouse arrived and claimed to not know the causes of the incident. The fire began at around 2 PM and was put out at around 3:10 PM. More than 100 Firefighters from Mexico City and Mexico State worked in mitigating the fire.
The fire happened in the property that is located at the intersection of Calzada de La Naranja and Calzada de las Armas, at the boundary of Azcapotzalco and Naucalpan.

March 27, Mexico City
A fire in a ribbon warehouse happened this Tuesday in the Historic Center. The affected warehouse is located at 65 Republic of Brazil Street near Republic of Nicaragua Street in the Colonia Centro, Cuauhtémoc neighborhood. At this time the authorities have not determined the cause of the fire.
The fire in the warehouse reached the base of another building, where there are 20 departments, but there are no victims reported.

March 22, Mexico City
A small fire happened in Sanborns, located at Tucuba and Eje Central, in the Historic Center. The capital’s Secretary of Public Security reported that there are not reports of injury and it is under control, although they do not know how the fire started.
