After 5 years of judicial process, investigation and search for the accused, on June 6, 2012, the Preparation of the Oral Trial of Freddy Fuentevilla, Marcelo Villarroel and Juan Aliste Vega will begin.
This stage only has to do with what evidence will go to the trial and what won’t. This stage went on as usual until, on August 22nd of 2012, the persecuting prosecutor “froze” the trial preparations until the Constitutional Court made a ruling on the admission or rejection of some pieces of evidence that were rejected in the first instance.
After 5 months of legal negotiations, the Court decided to reintroduce two pieces of evidence: the statement of a Venezuelan witness who was at the robbery, and security camera images from a freeway on which the people who robbed the Security Bank in October 2007 made their escape.
Finally, the Preparation of the Oral Trial will resume this Monday February 4 at 9 AM in the Justice Center (Rondizonni Metro).
