from negasi, rough translation by war on society:
Reyhard Rumbayan (Eat) and Billy Augustan yesterday (February 14, 2012) returned to court for the third time. The agenda was the same as the second hearing on February 7, 2012, that is to hear testimony from witnesses. The State Prosecutor (JPU) said they would present 30 witnesses to prove and convince the judge that the two combatants can be charged with the terrorism clauses.
The trial itself, it is increasingly clear to us, is a pathetic State parody. Two witnesses that were presented at the second hearing even admitted to only seeing Eat and Billy at Borjuis Cafe before the arson took place. But the two witnesses who are owners of the cafe stated before the judges that they did not listen to the conversation the night before the attack on the property happened.
Another anomaly is also evidence that the state–through its institutions–is trying to trap the comrades is the one of the other witnesses who claimed to not see the combatant Eat at the scene of the BRI Bank ATM arson. It is almost certain that the prosecution–as an instrument of state repression–are unable to produce witnesses to prove that these two comrades were involved in international terrorist networks. Making it clear that the use of the terrorism clauses is a tedious performance.
Another rotten scenario is the making of separate files for both comrades’ trials. With each of them as a witness for the other. Both also continue to receive intimidation and terror from the interrogators, another parenthetical fact being the poor prison conditions. The police also deliberately cut of the efforts at communication with several comrades to the other combatants who closely follow the developments in this case.
The process of protracted proceedings is also a tactic used by the State to psychologically exhaust the two comrades Eat and Billy. They deliberately create a second trial for the comrades on the alleged offensive charges, as a means of terror against the springing-up of insubordination-disobedience.
But we are very confident that the two brothers will not give up and subjected to the forces of capital and the state. We also believe that the imprisonment that afflicts some friends who otherwise would not dampen the expression of anger against tyranny.
Long live direct action!
Absolve Eat & Billy!
Burn all the prisons to the ground!
PS: Both comrades (Eat & Billy) ask for psychological support in the form of donations of books. If anyone has read the book like a novel and want to express solidarity, can contact us via email [negasidaurulang@gmail.com) to discuss further the solidarity package distribution process.
