Chile: Action for a new March 29th at the university in Santiago

As a means of making way for a new March 29, Day of the Combatant Youth, of bringing the theorization of memory to the praxis in the streets. So did some dozens of hooded compañerxs make an exit from the former Pedagogico, now UMCE, on the day of Tuesday March 19.

The first group of compañerxs left through the gate closest to Grecia Avenue. A piece of pine blocked of the street while another was sent at the water-throwing armored car that is permanently inside of the Shell at the fiery intersection of Macul and Grecia. The police presence is always a bother, it is a true state of siege in an area which has for decades been a point of revolutionary meeting and learning.

The fire enveloped the uncomfortable presence of the repressive machinery, the fire desired to embrace the body of those beings without will who make obedience their ideology.

At the same time an incendiary attack was also launched at the offices of Servipag (Service of Payment of Accounts and Money Changing) and Punto Bip (Public Transport Payment System) that are next to the Shell. The attack was such that the fire started to spread and the building was the fuel for the destruction. Unfortunately the cops and firefighters did their work, defending private property and the interests of the killing of living beings and exploitation of mother earth. Therefore the cars of the guardians of the city got several incendiary bottles on top of them.

All of this was accompanied by banners, leaflets, tires, shouts in memory of compañerxs fallen in combat, and a large number of molotov cocktails.

After this provocative beginning, all the conflict moved to the main entrance of the university. From here the compañerxs sought to keep the street as long as possible. And with their feet on the street anonymous hands focused their aim and delivered a positive number of molotovs along the carriage of their murderous machines, even managing to damage them.

This afternoon attention was not placed on what they call the mechona party, which is the receiving of the new students, who are belittled and humiliated in an authoritarian, futile and banal (excuse the redundancy) way by the older students of the university. A disgusting demented tradition that was violently broken this afternoon, because these hooded individuals also sought to break with passivity and reality.

The clashes for the commemoration of March 29th extended for almost an hour and positively no person who participated in the street combat ended up arrested. It is worth mentioning that in the majority of the charges the hooded youth gave the start and end to the combat, once retreated into the interior of the campus.
