On Wednesday July 11, 2012, the comrade Mario López underwent surgical intervention in the Rubén Leñero Hospital of Mexico City, in order to graft skin onto his leg due to the burns he suffered, this meant delaying his transfer at least until this weekend to the Southern Prison–where he had been interned. However, on Tuesday July 17 they carried out his transfer without previous warning, to the sick ward of the Southern Prison, where he is expected to be for at least another month.
For the moment his lawyers and family members have communicated with him and report a stable health that will depend upon the conditions of hygiene to which he is exposed, since he still runs the risk of his wounds becoming infected and complicating his health, an issue for which it has been necessary to use some antibiotics, ointments, etc.
Due to the circumstances, we make a call to show constant material solidarity through deposits to the account indicated below and also by donating items needed for his stay such as beige clothing (pants, sweatshirts, shirts, etc), toilet paper, soap, bottled water, etc.
Finally we appreciate the solidarity of all those who have collaborated in the activities and who have also materially manifested solidarity.
