We have belatedly received word that anarchist and accused assassin Casey Brezik was sentenced, almost a year ago, to 12 years in prison. Before this, the last update was that Casey was locked up without a mailing address when the State declared him unfit to stand trial in February 2011. Now he can receive mail, and says he would appreciate letters, news and books.
Kansas City ABC writes:
In a letter dated Sept 15 2013, Casey lamented the lack of letters but learned it was a fact of prison life. “Everyone on the outside has things going on and may not be able to take the time out to communicate with us in here.”
Casey has requested letters, news and books, specific title requests make great gifts btw. He is interested in a subscription to the IWW’s Industrial Worker; The Accumulation of Freedom: Writings on Anarchist Economics; Black Flame: The Revolutionary Class Politics of Anarchism and Syndicalism; and Don’t Leave Your Friends Behind: Concrete Ways to Support Families in Social Justice Movements and Communities.
Casey closes his letter with a note on the controlled state of reading materials and its affects, saying, “there are several comrades in here that don’t have access to radical news sources.”

If the school’s dean of instruction, Al Dimmit Jr., survived the attack, how is it that Casey Brezik is called an “assassin”? I really don’t understand …
